The usage process of prepaid electricity meters is as follows:
Installation and wiring
Prepaid electricity meters need to be installed vertically inside the meter box, and connected to the power interface (red for live wire, blue for neutral wire), communication interface (green for ground wire, white for data wire), and load interface (yellow for live wire, black for neutral wire) according to the wiring diagram. After installation, connect the power supply to ensure that the electricity meter is powered on normally.
First recharge and initialization
Users purchase electricity through online (mobile apps, websites) or offline (business halls, self-service recharge machines) methods, enter the electricity meter account number and recharge amount. After successful recharge, the meter will automatically update the balance, or you can manually refresh to view the latest data.
Insert card to input power
Insert the IC card for pre purchased electricity into the meter in the direction of the arrow (with the metal contact facing left), and the display will show F1 (the current purchased electricity), F2 (the sum of the original remaining electricity and the newly purchased electricity) in sequence, followed by the current remaining electricity. If the sum of the original remaining electricity and the purchased electricity exceeds 9999kWh, the excess amount will be retained in the card and not input into the meter.
Daily electricity consumption and monitoring
Electricity usage prompt: When using electricity, the pulse indicator light flashes and the meter automatically decreases the remaining power. When the remaining battery level is below 20 degrees, the display lights up to remind you to purchase electricity; When the temperature reaches 10 degrees, the power will automatically shut down once, and the IC card will be inserted to restore power supply; Completely cut off power when returning to zero.
Balance inquiry: The electricity meter display is usually off, and you need to insert a card to check the remaining power (showing F1 purchase power as 0 and F2 remaining power). After unplugging the card, it will turn off.
Load management: The power supply department can set the maximum electricity load for users. When the load exceeds the limit, the meter will display "E2" and power will be cut off. After inserting the IC card, power will be restored.
Recharge and Recycling
When the balance is insufficient, the user recharges through the original channel, and the recharge amount is added to the remaining power. The electricity meter follows the principle of "one meter, one card", and the IC card can only input electricity to the corresponding meter once after each purchase.
Data write back and check
After each card insertion operation, the electricity meter will write back the electricity consumption data (such as electricity consumption, remaining electricity, and abnormal records) to the IC card. The next time you purchase electricity, the electricity sales system will read the data and check the legality of the electricity usage; Electricity inspectors can also use dedicated inspection cards to verify electricity usage.
